Designing for Good
Below are a sample of projects from my portfolio working in local and state government.
Digitizing government forms
A scrape of austintexas.gov found hundreds of PDF forms. The Paperless project worked with residents to create standards for accessibility, advocate for digitization, and train staff.
Homelessness in ATX
Bloomberg Philanthropies funded a team of designers at the City of Austin to work on solving homelessness. The teams worked on a number of projects with people experience homelessness, city staff, advocates, and other residents.
Homelessness by the Numbers
The Office of Design and Delivery partnered with the Communications Office to do user research, prototype and then build a dashboard for Austin's City Council.
Re-imaging Public Safety
Using Design to Create Policy
Teaching the staff in the Office of Police Oversight how to use human-centered design to shape and make policy decisions.
The Other One's Foundation
Designing for residents of Esperanza Tiny Homes Village
Using human-centered design to identify the needs and challenges faced by the residents of Esperanza Tiny Village.
